Review: Good for me, fallin too quickly. Catt McCreary

Raised in Atlanta, Catt McCreary delivers a fresh sasstress identity to the whole pop world with a strong voice, bold lyrics, and sugarbop beats. Her passion for music developing since age 5, followed by instruments and songwriting at age 12. Hitting over 100k streams, in over 200 playlists, and over 20k monthly listeners in a short period of time. Catt McCreary is quickly spreading her hooks into people with her music, she is taking over the pop scene.

The song brings hip-hop and R&B vibe to the typical slow love song type, “Racing through the street lights feeling blind. Ignoring the GPS, ignore the signs cause I got you by my side” She speaks on what it’s like having someone there to adventure with her and do all these things, without noticing anything else in the world. People want that type of love, They want that feeling of ‘It’s only us right here and right now’ Whether it’s forever or however long the moment is.

This type of beat is throughout the whole song, the goods, and bads of being in love as she starts the song she starts with the good of that never-forget love, “But with you by my side, got no doubts in my mind” She’s expressing with them around, she will never doubt their love no matter where they go or what happens. As the song moves on we see that other side through of someone questioning their love, maybe making them doubt it, “ My mom’s called me 12 times, she’s tellin me i’m wrong then why’s this feel so right” Someone might doubt it, but they also know it feels so good to be together, even if there could be that second voice telling them it is wrong.

Overall, Catt showcases her smooth, dreamy vocals with the song and rhythm, expressing those different love sides with the use of the backtrack vocal layers and the hip-hop, pop sound of the beats. ‘Good for me” definitely should be on your playlists as it shows off that heart-racing love and taking the moments in. Keep an eye of her this year with new music and new things to come with her career!
