Review: NIGHTLY- Lover/ Loner

Nashville-based band, NIGHTLY just released their new hit single '‘Lover/Loner” on April 30 2021.

Listen to Lover/Loner HERE.

“We wanted to write a song about the duality and human condition that we feel so often. The spectrum of emotions that we personally go through and wrestle with,” Nightly shared about the track. “As much as we try to maintain a positive mindset, we’re acknowledging the battle with the darker side of our brain. It’s just a really open honest perspective of what goes through our heads on a daily basis.”

On a beach in Florida, written and recorded, the song’s upbeat and hopeful sound is juxtaposed against the lyrics, “part of me wishes I was someone else. while the other part’s always narcissistic as hell”

This song comes after they released their very first album night, love you which came out autumn last year. Night, love you, features hit songs like “older” and '“Not like you” which are also featured on their alt EPs as acoustic and stripped down versions. The album hits on topics like mental health, relationships, getting older and so much more.

The Nashville-based group I’m sure has some more exciting things coming for fans, so stay tuned!

Listen to night, love you HERE.
