The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers have an historic rivalry and Kobe Bryant has been a big chapter in the LA-Boston Rivalry. The Rick Porcello Saga

The Rick Porcello Saga

After giving David Price the largest contract ever to be handed out to a pitcher it was expected he would be the opening day starter. Buchholz was also a shoe in for the number two just based on the fact that he is the veteran of the staff and is truly the second best starter on the team after Price. Three to five starters are tricky, Eduardo Rodrgiuez was the favorite for the three spot coming into camp but his injury that will put him on the DL to start the season opened up the spot. The three guys who are competing for three-five are Rick Porcello, Joe Kelly, and Steven Wright who is starting with the club due to the Rodriguez injury.

Boston Red Sox Have One of Leagues Top Prospects

Boston Red Sox Have One of Leagues Top Prospects

Keith Law of ESPN who is one of baseballs best prospect analysts released his annual list of the top 100 prospects in baseball for the 2016. The list was released in February and it included three Boston Red Sox players in the top 20, Rafael Devers at #7, Yoan Moncada #17, and Andrew Bernintendi at #18. Devers at #7 is the highest rated Red Sox prospect according to Keith Law.

Many Red Sox fans might be shocked that it is Devers who is the best prospect in the system over Cuban prospect Moncada. But may I remind you all that money doesn’t make an unproven player any better. Devers offensive ability has fewer holes than Moncada at this point in their careers.
