As some of you may have noticed... the lineup for Vans Warped Tour's 2016 tour has been released. So far, there has been a lot of negative feedback pertaining to some of the bands on the tour because of the many that have been recycled through the tour for years now. Now, don't get me wrong, there are some awesome Warped Tour veterans that are taking part in the tour, but for many of you that live in the Boston area, you will be disappointed to hear that they are not performing on the Mansfield date. Some of the Warped veterans performing are Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Vanna, Yellowcard, and many more have decided to take part in this years tour. Which would be awesome, but most of them aren't even coming to Massachusetts! So if you're interested in seeing them, make sure to check where they're playing first so you don't get disappointed upon arrival. As for many of the other bands, there have been mixed reactions. Some bands that were popular maybe ten years ago are coming back and that has everyone stoked, but for some of these... other bands/rappers(?), it has us like, "huh?"

....And in more disappointing news, most of the same bland bands are performing, yet again. Vans Warped Tour is supposed to be known for their ever changing variety, showcasing up and coming talent and popular alternative/punk/hardcore bands, but this has slowly been phased out in these past few years to make room for the same old same old bands that hop on the literal bandwagon every year. Warped Tour has fallen into a band rut, unfortunately. Many of the fans that choose to buy tickets to these tours want to see what they have to offer, rather than the same band they saw in 2015, 2014....2013...and so on and so forth. However, a lot of people think this repetitiveness is coming from some drama that has happened in the past with Warped Tour producer, and 4Fini president, Kevin Lyman, which is a story for another day. But, who knows, maybe someday they'll switch it up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
