With a body of work spanning six decades, musician Leonard Cohen was a highly influential figure as a singer songwriter. He is perhaps best known for Hallelujah, which became an influence for covers from the likes of famed musicians Jeff Buckley and John Cale. Throughout his career, Cohen explored poetic themes that shed light on subjects that other songwriters seldom touched. Cohen spoke through themes of depression, bewilderment, hate, love; and his musical talent was second to none.

Cohen left us with an album that serves to explore the fragility of life. His poetry will live on in our hearts and in our thoughts. Take a listen to his final parting gift, You Want it Darker.
